Built in 2010 by Italian coachbuilder Zagato, the TZ3 was a celebration of 100 years of Alfa Romeo, rekindling the namesakes bestowed to Zagato’s previous Alfa sports cars: the 1963 TZ1 and 1965 TZ2. 2019 represents another milestone… Zagato’s 100th year anniversary.
The TZ3 Corsa was originally commissioned by German collector Martin Kapp as a “One Off” with a dry sumped 4.2-litre V8 (from the Alfa 8C) developing around 420bhp. The Zagato TZ3 Stradale, on the other hand, was powered by the Dodge Viper ACR-X with an 8.4-liter V-10 pumping out 640 bhp and 585 lb.-ft. of torque in a front mid-engine/rear-drive layout. Needless to say, not for the faint at heart. Side exhaust tips still scream out Viper, while the bodywork including the rear “Kammback” shape, "double bubble" roof and round taillights, are all prominent Zagato styling cues.
This is #7 of 9 built worldwide and has spent its entire life since returning from Milano in 2013, in Southern California, serviced and taken care of by myself, in Orange County. This is your opportunity to own one of the rarest cars on the planet.
