The LaFerrari Aperta stands as a tribute to Ferrari's most passionate clientele, representing the limited edition of a special series. Unveiled to commemorate the company's 70th anniversary, this vehicle elevates Ferrari's unique values to new heights. While maintaining the essential characteristics of the coupe, the LaFerrari Aperta boasts a futuristic and exceptionally extreme design, seamlessly blending form and function while paying homage to classic Ferrari styling elements. The notable difference lies in its door opening system, which, when fully open, presents a slightly different angle compared to the coupe version.
Given the absence of a roof, Ferrari's technicians focused their innovative prowess on reinforcing the lower section, as it faces different stress points than the coupe's upper region. Through targeted modifications to enhance its strength, the LaFerrari Aperta achieves the same torsional rigidity as the LaFerrari, placing it at the forefront of the supercar category in terms of dynamic behavior.
The LaFerrari Aperta's powertrain, akin to the LaFerrari, harnesses hybrid technology, combining a 800 PS, 6,262 cc V12 engine with a 120 Kw (163 PS) electric motor. This synergy yields a total output exceeding 960 PS, making it the most powerful and efficient Ferrari ever built. The HY-KERS system leverages Ferrari's F1 expertise, ensuring seamless integration of the V12 engine and electric motor, maximizing their respective advantages. The hybrid power unit, controlling power distribution through inverters and DC-DC converters, contributes to swift and precise torque deployment.
The V12 engine, a 6,262 cc powerhouse, stands as Ferrari's most potent naturally aspirated engine in a road car. Generating 800 PS at 9,250 rpm, it delivers extraordinary performance, driving pleasure, and the unmistakable Ferrari sound.
