This Bentley Continental GT3 FastR is a remarkable piece of history, being the last conventionally powered Bentley in the factory race program. It participated in the 2019 Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, named the "Bentley Continental GT Pikes Peak." Engine: The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 has been extensively reworked, generating over 750 bhp and 1,000 Nm at sea level during testing.
Fuel: Runs on 98RON Renewable Racing Fuel, a blend of advanced biofuels designed for motorsport.
Cooling System: Features a secondary cooling system at the back of the car, with air scoops replacing rear windows for improved performance.
Gearbox: Bentley's standard racing unit with increased rear driveshaft diameter for durability.
Chassis: Tuned for Pikes Peak with reduced camber, softest springs, and water-cooled brakes for handling increased loads.
Aerodynamics and Design:
30% increase in overall downforce at sea level.
Aerodynamic modifications include the largest rear wing ever fitted to a Bentley and a comprehensive front-end aerodynamic package.
Carbon nylon filament and rapid prototype manufacturing techniques used for parts at the Bentley factory.
Pikes Peak Record Attempt:
To break the record, the car needs to complete the challenging climb of nearly 5,000 ft with 156 corners at an average speed of over 78 mph in less than nine minutes and 36 seconds.
