F140 V12 development

The 812 enlarges the F12berlinetta’s V12 to 6,496 cc. In Superfast and GTS form, the naturally aspirated F140 engine is rated at 800 PS at 8,500 rpm, without turbochargers or hybrid assistance.

Steering and aerodynamics

The Superfast introduced electric power steering to Ferrari’s range and uses the Virtual Short Wheelbase 2.0 rear-steering system. Air bypasses in the hood and controlled rear-diffuser flaps manage airflow and drag.

GTS roof design

Revealed in September 2019, the GTS incorporates a folding hardtop between the rear buttresses. The roof operates in 14 seconds at speeds up to 45 km/h; chassis reinforcement and revised aerodynamics accompany the open body.
