The limited-edition Ferrari 599 GTO (Gran Turismo Omologato) represents the ultimate iteration of the 599 GTB. Essentially, it's a road-legal version of the Ferrari 599XX. Its public debut took place in late April 2010 at the Beijing International Motor Show. The GTO sheds nearly a hundred kilograms compared to the standard 599 GTB, achieved in part by incorporating carbon fiber components, such as the front splitter, side skirts, double diffuser at the rear, and interior elements like parts of the console, dashboard, and seats. This weight reduction translates into a lap time on the Fiorano circuit that's over a second faster than the Enzo. Everything, from gear shifts to steering responsiveness to throttle response, feels distinctly different and sportier!

Carrozzeria Zanasi is a historic company based in Maranello. This proximity led to the company's early association with the local giant, Ferrari.
The collaboration between Carrozzeria Zanasi and Ferrari began in 1964 when Enzo Ferrari himself was searching for skilled craftsmen to repair his cars. In doing so, Enzo encountered Umberto Zanasi, a young, talented local artisan. Thanks to his dedication and exceptional skills, Umberto immediately gained the trust of 'Il Drake' (Ferrari's founder).
The true turning point occurred in 1970 with the arrival of panel beater Sergio Martinelli and auto painter Adriano Giusti. At that moment, Ferrari's official body shop in Modena, known as Scaglietti, ceased repairing production cars for Ferrari customers, and Carrozzeria Zanasi took over this responsibility.
Simultaneously, Ferrari granted official recognition to the relationship that had begun long ago, built on mutual respect between Umberto Zanasi and Enzo Ferrari. An official and industrial partnership was born!
