Alfa Romeo 8C Spider
A 21st-century Alfa Romeo, the design of which recalls the unforgettable 33 Stradale and operates on the successful Transaxle principle: front-engine with rear-wheel drive. The 8C Spider, unveiled in Geneva in 2008, combines the best of Italian tradition in the realm of sports and racing cars. Under the hood, a Ferrari-sourced V8 engine produces 450 horsepower. The chassis is crafted from composite materials, including aluminum, titanium, and carbon. The lightweight body – as well as part of the interior – is made of carbon fiber. The entire suspension is designed as a double wishbone, and the Brembo brakes are also made of carbon ceramic. Assembly took place at the Modena facility of Maserati, where only 500 exclusive units were manufactured. The choice of materials and the technical solutions applied in the passenger compartment showcase outstanding Italian design. In line with the brand's convertible tradition, the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider features a lightweight fabric roof. The roof consists of two fabric layers using the "Z-Fold" scheme: the inner roof provides sound insulation, while the outer roof offers excellent protection against weather conditions. It opens and closes electro-hydraulically at the touch of a button. The Sparco carbon fiber seats (similar to those in the Ferrari Enzo Ferrari) are covered in full leather, known for its pleasant feel.
The offered vehicle was the personal specimen of the then Alfa Romeo and Maserati CEO H.J.W...... A personal letter to the German second owner is included in the original. There is hardly a more exclusive 8C Spider than that of the manufacturer's CEO. Accordingly, the exterior paint is "Rosso Competizione" with an interior in "Nero" with red stitching. The condition is fantastic, with a mileage of only 6,900 km. A 5-piece luggage set in the interior color is available, as well as the portfolio with all documents, code cards, paletot, etc. Three inspections have been carried out at the Ferrari dealership. The complete dashboard and door panels are in visible carbon fiber. The sound of the exhaust system is a mix of Ferrari & Maserati and is unlikely to be found in a production vehicle again.
