A History of passion and perfection

Founded in 1977 by David and Kate Cottingham, DK Engineering was born out of David’s passion for Jaguar XKs and his desire to take on new technical challenges with Ferrari. From our modest beginnings, we have evolved into a major player in the world of classic car restoration and Ferrari competition. Our mantra, "Restoration to Perfection," reflects our unwavering commitment to delivering work of the highest quality.

Growth rooted in quality

The quality of our work quickly attracted the attention of Ferrari enthusiasts worldwide, and our growth has been steady while maintaining solid values. Unlike others, we have remained cautious during market fluctuations, which has allowed us to navigate through crises while preserving our reputation for excellence.

A family business for the future

Today, DK Engineering employs around 50 people, including a team of highly qualified technicians trained in-house or from official Ferrari dealerships. The legacy continues with David and Kate’s sons, Justin, James, and Jeremy, all of whom have played key roles in the company’s development. James, in particular, continues to contribute to DK's growth as the lead Ferrari acquisition consultant, having been behind several world-record transactions, including Ferrari 250 GT SWBs and McLaren F1s.

Our Ferrari workshop, managed by Phil Redpath, ensures that each vehicle receives impeccable service, thanks to the expertise of technicians like Adrian, our master technician.
