Overview of this 1971 Chevrolet Camaro LS3 (2nd Generation) used for sale

Chevrolet introduced the 2nd Generation Camaro for the 1970 model year, with a longer, lower fastback body that remained in production, with updates, until 1981. This 1971 car keeps that shape but has been rebuilt as a modern custom by Bill Dunn One Stop Shop for SEMA, on new Classic Industries body panels, with paint and bodywork by Prukop's Auto Body in Huntington Beach, California.

The finish is House of Kolor Tangelo Pearl orange, with a fabricated sheet-metal grille, custom front and rear fascias, a domed cowl-induction hood, Fesler flush-mounted glass, flush door handles, hidden wipers, LED lighting and charcoal powder-coated bumpers. Power comes from a GM 6.2-liter LS3 V8 with a 4L60E 4-speed automatic, a 10-bolt rear axle built by J&S Gear and MagnaFlow exhaust with quarter-panel outlets.

The chassis has adjustable front coilovers, tubular control arms, Hydroboost brakes with cross-drilled and slotted rotors on all four wheels, and 18-inch American Legends wheels on Toyo Proxes tires. The two-tone tan leather interior has individual rear seats, a full-length console, Dakota Digital gauges, a Billet Specialties wheel, power windows, Restomod Air conditioning and Pioneer audio.

As with every classic sold by the dealership, the odometer is exempt. Earth MotorCars offers the car in Carrollton, Texas.

Model background · Chevrolet Camaro, second-generation body

Longer second generation
The 1970 redesign retained the F-body’s front subframe and live rear axle but introduced a lower, wider body with a fastback roof. Unlike the 1st Generation, the 2nd Generation Camaro had no factory convertible.
Modified drivetrains
The LS3 6.2-liter swaps and modified 350 cu in engines described for these cars are individual builds. They are separate from the period factory engine options and from the later 6th Generation Camaro.
