The 911 Carrera RS 2.7 of 1973 was built to homologate the 911 for Group 4 racing and became one of the most sought-after Porsches. Its 2.7-liter air-cooled flat-six develops 207 hp and 188 lb-ft, driving the rear wheels through a 5-speed manual gearbox, and the car introduced the ducktail rear spoiler, wider rear fenders and thinner body panels and glass to save weight. About 1,580 were built in Touring and Sport versions. Derived from the 911 S, the Carrera RS 2.7 used Bosch mechanical fuel injection, Fuchs forged alloy wheels with wider rear rims and the Carrera script along the lower flanks, usually in a color contrasting with the paint. The Sport version did without the rear seats, sound deadening and clock to save weight, and the RS 2.7 is regarded as the first 911 to carry the Carrera name. This 1973 911 Carrera RS 2.7 is finished in White with a Black interior. The dealer reports 65,954 miles on the odometer.
