Overview of this 2016 McLaren P1 GT used for sale

The 2016 McLaren P1 GT is a ultra-limited edition hypercar developed by Lanzante, inspired by the McLaren F1 GT from the 1990s. With a design based on the P1 GTR, this model was converted for road use, combining the extreme track capabilities of the GTR with the comfort and refinement of a road car. The P1 GT features significant aerodynamic enhancements, including a larger front splitter, revised rear wing, and an enhanced roof scoop. The exterior is finished in McLaren XP Green.

The McLaren P1 GT is powered by a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, paired with an electric motor, delivering a combined power output of 986 horsepower. The car’s revised suspension system, borrowed from the Lanzante-developed P1 LM, provides enhanced handling to cope with the increased downforce generated by the car’s aerodynamic improvements. The P1 GT’s performance is truly track-oriented, but it offers the luxury and comfort necessary for road use.

The McLaren P1 GT pays homage to the McLaren F1 GT, a road-legal version of the F1 GTR that raced in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Only three F1 GTs were ever produced, making it one of the rarest McLaren models. Lanzante, renowned for their involvement in McLaren’s motorsport history, crafted the P1 GT with the same philosophy of merging race car dynamics with road car usability. As a tribute to McLaren’s racing legacy, the P1 GT is a collector car, with only a few examples planned for production.
