Q by Aston Martin developed the V12 Speedster as an 88-car series, with deliveries planned from 2021. Its open 2-seat body draws on Aston Martin racing cars and aircraft design.

V12 and transmission

The front-mid-mounted 5.2-liter twin-turbo V12 has four camshafts and 48 valves. Aston Martin announced estimated outputs of 700 hp and 753 Nm, driving the rear wheels through a ZF 8-speed automatic and limited-slip differential.

Factory estimates

The original factory estimates were 3.5 seconds from 0-100 km/h and a limited 300 km/h top speed. These describe the V12 Speedster, rather than the historic DBR1 racing engine.
