GT3 competition programme

The 488 GT3 made its competition debut at Albert Park in March 2016. It is a customer racing model, separate from the 488 GTB road car and the one-make 488 Challenge.

Evo 2020 development

The Evo 2020 program revised the aerodynamics, vehicle controls and cockpit. Ferrari retained the 90-degree twin-turbo V8 architecture, introducing revised engine management; a Sabelt-developed seat reduced weight by 2.4 kg.

Homologation and upgrades

GT3 regulations set boost and weight limits through Balance of Performance. Ferrari also offered the Evo 2020 improvements as an upgrade kit for existing 488 GT3s, so an earlier chassis can have a later development specification.
