Power climbed version by version: 700 PS on the LP 700-4 of 2011 and its Roadster, 750 on the SuperVeloce, 740 on the S, 770 on the SVJ, and 780 on the Ultimae that closed the line.

Model background · Lamborghini Aventador family

L539 V12 development

The Aventador introduced the 6,498 cc L539, Lamborghini's second V12 engine design after the family first used in the 350 GT. The naturally aspirated engine sits behind the cabin.

ISR transmission architecture

The Graziano ISR is a 7-speed single-clutch automated manual. Its operating principle differs from the dual-clutch transmission later fitted to the Revuelto.

Model development

The Aventador debuted at Geneva in 2011 as the Murciélago's replacement. The family ran through the S, SV, SVJ and Ultimae before production ended in September 2022; those variants have different outputs and aerodynamic specifications.
