Overview of this 2023 Porsche 911 Dakar used for sale
Finished in a tri-tone White, Red, and Blue exterior over a Black interior, this limited-edition off-road variant brings rally heritage to the 911 chassis. Powered by a 3.0L 6-cylinder engine delivering 473 horsepower , the 911 Dakar comes engineered for challenging terrain, while retaining all the precision expected from Porsche’s GT division.
As an exclusive model referencing Porsche’s Dakar rally legacy, this edition is positioned as a bridge between high-performance engineering and off-road capability.
The Porsche 911 Dakar was unveiled during the model’s presentation at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show , on November 16th, 2022. Developed on the base of the 992-generation Carrera 4 GTS, the 911 Dakar was engineered by Porsche to pay tribute to its 1984 Paris-Dakar rally victory. It features raised suspension, model-specific off-road calibration, and unique design elements such as the fixed rear spoiler and roof-rack provisions. Limited in production, the Dakar is positioned as a homologated tribute to motorsport endurance.
Under the rear deck sits a 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, delivering 473 hp and 570 Nm of torque. Power is transmitted via an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission to a permanent all-wheel-drive system. The Dakar accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds , with a top speed limited to 240 km/h due to its Pirelli Scorpion All-Terrain tires. A bespoke suspension lift and rally-calibrated traction modes enhance its off-road usability while retaining Porsche’s road performance DNA.
As a recent release, most Porsche 911 Dakar units remain within initial ownership, and secondary market appearances are limited.

Chassis
Eleven generations since September 1964, each known by its internal code: 901, G-series, 964, 993, 996, 997, 991 and 992. The flat-six has always sat behind the rear axle. The 993 of 1994 to 1998 was the last air-cooled 911; the 996 brought water cooling in 1998, after thirty-4 years.
Model background · Porsche 911, 992 generation
992 introduction
The 8th Generation 911 was unveiled in Los Angeles on November 27, 2018. Its wider rear body, flush electric door handles and continuous rear light strip distinguish the 992 design from the preceding 991.
Carrera and GT3 architectures
The launch Carrera S and 4S use a 3.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six. The GT3 branch uses a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six, so the Carrera engine and transmission specifications do not describe the entire 992 range.
Body-style development
Carrera S and 4S coupes appeared first, followed by their cabriolets in January 2019. Porsche presented the 992 Targa in May 2020, retaining the broad roof bar and electrically operated roof mechanism.
