95B development

The first Macan was unveiled at the Los Angeles and Tokyo motor shows in 2013, with production beginning at Leipzig in 2014. The project was initially known as Cajun before Porsche adopted Macan, an Indonesian word for tiger.

The 95B shares its platform and 2,807 mm wheelbase with the first Audi Q5. Porsche developed its own drivetrain calibration and chassis tuning, pairing the combustion engines with 7-speed PDK and all-wheel drive.

Generation and updates
