Chassis

The Macan is a Porsche SUV. The 1st Generation 95B combustion model is distinct from the XAB electric generation. This family context does not establish the individual car’s equipment or history.

Model background · Porsche Macan Electric, XAB

Electric platform

The XAB Macan uses Premium Platform Electric, shared with the Audi Q6 e-tron, rather than the combustion Macan's Q5-derived platform. Its wheelbase is 2,893 mm, compared with 2,807 mm for the 95B.

Development and assembly

Porsche unveiled the electric generation on January 25, 2024. Production began at Leipzig in May 2024 while assembly of the earlier combustion Macan continued.

Powertrain range

The electric Macan range includes a single-motor rear-wheel-drive version and dual-motor all-wheel-drive versions. A Turbo badge identifies a higher-output electric variant here, rather than a turbocharged combustion engine.
