About the BMW M240i xDrive Coupé (G42)

The G42 2 Series Coupé uses the CLAR platform of the 3 and 4 Series, for longitudinal engines, with a five-link rear axle partly in aluminium. Its top speed is limited to 250 km/h. The coupé grew about 6.5 cm wider and 10 cm longer than the car it replaced.

BMW presented the G42 in early July 2021 and builds it at San Luis Potosí, Mexico; the M240i xDrive was offered from the start of sales.
