About the BMW X5 xDrive45e

The xDrive45e was the first plug-in hybrid of the G05 generation, built from August 2019 to February 2023, when the xDrive50e of the facelifted range took its place. Its battery of about 21 kWh net gives 86 to 97 km of electric range, and the car can run on electricity alone up to 140 km/h.

The X5 is built at BMW's Spartanburg plant in South Carolina. The G05, shown in June 2018 and on sale from November 2018, is the fourth generation of the model that opened BMW's range of SUVs in 1999.
