The 1967 restyle made the car longer and wider so that a big-block V8 would fit, and it came as a two-door hardtop, a fastback or a convertible. For 1968 Ford added side marker lights, shoulder belts, the 302 (4.9-litre) V8 and the 428 Cobra Jet. The fastback could be ordered with a fold-down rear seat, and the convertible with a folding glass rear window.
Launched on 17 April 1964 at the New York World's Fair, the Mustang had its first major redesign with the 1967 and 1968 cars, built from August 1966 to August 1968, before the restyled 1969 model.
The available examples cover model years 1965 to 1970. The median odometer reading is 1,111 miles, and 13 of the 14 listings that state it show under 10,000 km. The most common exterior colours are grey (6), not specified (4) and multicolour (2).
Across the listings in this selection, the Ford Mustang (1st Generation) is quoted at 559 to 770.5 PS depending on version and coupe. These are the figures dealers declare, not a reconstructed factory specification.
