The MLA-Flex platform is 50 per cent stiffer in torsion than that of the previous Range Rover, and the L460 is the first Land Rover to offer four-wheel steering. It rides on air suspension with a double-wishbone front axle and a multi-link rear axle, and the front axle disconnects between 35 and 160 km/h. Of the 38.2 kWh of the battery, 31.8 kWh are usable.

Land Rover revealed the fifth-generation Range Rover in London on 26 October 2021 and builds it at Solihull. The P550e replaced the P510e for the 2024 model year and sits above the P460e, which shares its battery and its six-cylinder. The standard-wheelbase car is 5,052 mm long on a 2,997 mm wheelbase.
