About the Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman

The Pullman stretches the wheelbase from 3,200 to 3,900 millimetres and adds two rear-facing seats behind a powered division. Like the short car, it runs its windows, seats and roof on hydraulic pressure rather than electric motors.

Mercedes-Benz built 2,677 of them at Stuttgart between 1963 and 1981, of which 2,190 were short-wheelbase saloons, 304 Pullmans, 124 six-door Pullmans and 59 landaulets. It was the most expensive car the marque sold, and it had no direct successor for twenty years.
