Mercedes-Benz S 650 Maybach Pullman for sale

S stands for Sonderklasse, special class. Seven generations carry the name officially, each known by its works code: W116 from 1972, W126, W140, W220, W221, W222 and the W223 of 2020. The engine range has always been wide, from six cylinders in line on the early cars to V8s and V12s, and the modern range reaches beyond 800 hp.

The S-Class is where Mercedes-Benz puts its new technology first: seatbelt pretensioners, airbags, ABS, stability control, and Pre-Safe on the W220 in 2002. Because the name spans half a century and every engine the firm has built, the cars listed here differ widely.
