E-Active Body Control reads the road ahead with a stereo camera and moves each wheel on its own, on air springs and a 48-volt system. The Maybach GLS is 120 mm longer than the standard car in the rear compartment, seats four or five, and offers reclining rear seats, a refrigerator and silver-plated champagne flutes.

Mercedes-Maybach is the top line of Mercedes-Benz, revived in 2015 after the Maybach 57 and 62 were withdrawn. The cars are assembled alongside the S-Class at Sindelfingen and finished by hand, and Manufaktur will paint and trim a car to an owner's order.
