The R34 of 1999 shortened the wheelbase and stiffened the shell over the R33, kept multi-link suspension at both ends and the Super-HICAS rear-wheel steering, and added a Brembo brake package on the V-Spec. A multifunction display on the centre console reads oil and water temperature, turbo pressure and torque split, and the V-Spec adds an active rear limited-slip differential and an underbody diffuser.
The GT-R name returned in 1989 on the R32 after a sixteen-year gap and ran through the R33 and the R34 until 2002, built in Japan for the domestic market and homologated for Group A and later for Japanese GT racing.
The available examples cover model years 1999 to 2002.
