Since the B series of 1969 the rear wheels sat 57 mm further back, stretching the wheelbase from 2,211 to 2,268 mm. The Targa, with its removable roof panel and fixed roll bar, had joined the range for 1967, and a fixed glass rear window was offered from 1968.

The 2.2-litre engine served the 1970 and 1971 model years in the T, E and S, built at Zuffenhausen.
