Active rear-axle steering is standard and turns the rear wheels by up to 2.8 degrees, while the front and rear spoilers extend in three stages. The brakes use six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers on 380 mm discs. A Sound Symposer, standard on the Turbo models, carries the intake sound of the engine into the cabin.

The 991.2 update, shown at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show, brought new headlights and tail lights. Porsche built the 991 generation in Stuttgart until December 2019.
