About the SSC Ultimate Aero

The Ultimate Aero TT is a two-door coupé built largely of carbon fibre, with butterfly doors, double-wishbone suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes. It measures 4,475 mm long, 2,100 mm wide and only 1,092 mm high, and weighs about 1,250 kg dry. SSC fitted no anti-lock brakes and no traction control. Only 24 Ultimate Aero TTs were produced between 2006 and 2007, and the car made its international debut on the show circuit in November 2006.

On 13 September 2007, near West Richland in Washington State, an Ultimate Aero TT averaged 412.28 km/h over two runs in opposite directions, and Guinness World Records certified it as the fastest production car. The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport took the record back in 2010.
