About the Volkswagen T1 Samba

The 1303 took over from the 1302 in August 1972 with a strongly curved windscreen and MacPherson struts at the front; rack-and-pinion steering followed in 1975. Karmann built the four-seat cabriolet body at Osnabrück.

The last of 330,281 Beetle cabriolets left the Karmann line on 10 January 1980.
