Description
In 1966, Lamborghini launched the production of the 400 GT bodied by "Carrozzeria Touring", a superb coupe with a sporty design, spacious and comfortable 4 seater "2 + 2".
Compared to the 350 GT, its interior had been thoroughly restyled.
The 400 GT 2 + 2 was presented in March 1966 at the Geneva International Motor Show.
Although it features a Carrozzeria Touring-designed body that is quite similar to that of the 350 and 400 GT, it is an entirely new model that uses a Lamborghini-stamped transmission and differential. Its dimensions are also different, the length goes from 4,500 to 4,640 mm, the 80-liter tank is in one piece and no longer in two parts as on the 350 and the body is steel.
Production stopped in the summer of 1968 with a total of 250 models.
