The 1963 Sting Ray coupe introduced the 2nd Generation Corvette and is the only model year with the split rear window, which makes it one of the most recognizable American cars of its era. This example has been rebuilt from the ground up by Maltry Motorcars as a modern custom and, according to the seller, was selected for the 2025 SEMA Battle of the Builders. Beneath the original body lines sits a Street Shop chassis with C7 Corvette aluminum suspension, QA1 adjustable coilovers and Wilwood drilled and slotted brakes with six-piston front and four-piston rear calipers. The rear differential is an 8.8-inch independent unit from a 2024 Shelby GT500. The engine is a new supercharged LT4 V8, quoted by the seller at more than 500 hp and up to 680 hp, paired with a TKX 5-speed manual and side-exit exhaust. The paint is Taylor Made Ferrari Verde Masoni Green, and the cabin is trimmed in tan Argentine leather and Alcantara, with handcrafted aluminum panels and parts designed in CAD and 3D printed for this car. It also has a Sparc billet steering wheel, Dakota Digital instruments, Vintage Air conditioning, power windows, locks and hood, and an E-Stopp electric parking brake. Schott Turbine wheels wear BFGoodrich tires. The odometer is exempt. The car is offered by Earth MotorCars in Carrollton, Texas.
