Vantage began in 1972 as a model of its own, a straight-six DBS built in 71 examples, then served for decades as the designation of the sharper cars in the range. It became a model again with the 2005 car, which ran 12 years, and with the 2018 generation on an aluminium platform shared with the DB11, front mid-engine and rear-wheel drive with a 50/50 balance.
