the 6,262 cc F140 V12, naturally aspirated and revving to 9,000 rpm, paired with a 163 PS electric motor

Performance · Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta

800 PS from the V12 alone and 963 PS (708 kW) combined, 900 Nm, 0 to 100 km/h in under 3 seconds and more than 350 km/h

Chassis · Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta

The Aperta keeps the coupé's carbon tub and hybrid drivetrain, and comes with a removable carbon hard top and a soft top; the doors open at a slightly different angle, and the aerodynamics were reworked so that the open car keeps the coupé's drag and downforce figures.

Model background · Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta

Aperta development

Introduced for Ferrari's 70th anniversary, the Aperta adapts the LaFerrari carbon monocoque for an open cockpit. Revised door geometry and aerodynamic work distinguish it from the fixed-roof coupe.

HY-KERS powertrain

A naturally aspirated 6,262 cc V12 works with an electric motor in the HY-KERS system. The drivetrain sends power to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission; the combustion engine and electric system have separate output ratings.

Chassis engineering

LaFerrari's carbon monocoque was developed under Rory Byrne. The chassis combines double-wishbone front suspension, a multi-link rear axle, magnetorheological damping and active aerodynamic devices.
