Aperta development
Introduced for Ferrari's 70th anniversary, the Aperta adapts the LaFerrari carbon monocoque for an open cockpit. Revised door geometry and aerodynamic work distinguish it from the fixed-roof coupe.
HY-KERS powertrain
A naturally aspirated 6,262 cc V12 works with an electric motor in the HY-KERS system. The drivetrain sends power to the rear wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission; the combustion engine and electric system have separate output ratings.
Chassis engineering
LaFerrari's carbon monocoque was developed under Rory Byrne. The chassis combines double-wishbone front suspension, a multi-link rear axle, magnetorheological damping and active aerodynamic devices.
