Model background · BRABUS G 63, PowerXtra B40S-800
Engine conversion
The B40S-800 package develops the G 63’s 3,982 cc twin-turbo V8 to 588 kW / 800 PS and 1,000 Nm. BRABUS uses larger turbochargers with revised compressor assemblies and corresponding engine-management calibration.
G-Class bodywork
WIDESTAR is the wide-body treatment, with extended wheel arches and matching front and rear body sections. It is separate from the engine kit: wheel design, carbon packages and interior upholstery depend on the individual conversion.
Two documented generations
BRABUS offered the B40S-800 conversion on the W 463A G 63 and subsequently on the W 465. The current W 465’s body panels and conversion details should be distinguished from those of the earlier G-Class.
