About the Lamborghini Diablo

The first Diablo drives its rear wheels alone, carries 59 per cent of its weight over them, and has no power steering: it is the last Lamborghini of the old school, before Audi took the marque over in 1998. The doors open upward, as on every twelve-cylinder Lamborghini since the Countach.

Lamborghini built about nine hundred of this first form at Sant'Agata Bolognese, presented for sale in January 1990. The Diablo ran until 2001 and was the last Lamborghini designed under Chrysler ownership and finished under Audi.
