About the McLaren 750S Spider

The structure is a MonoCage II carbon fibre monocoque with aluminium subframes front and rear, the layout rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive. The retractable hardtop costs 49 kg over the coupé, at 1,438 kg dry, and the carbon tub means the Spider needs no added bracing.

McLaren Automotive has built every road car on a carbon fibre tub since the MP4-12C of 2011, and splits its range into the Sports Series, the Super Series and the Ultimate Series. The LT badge, revived from the F1 GTR Longtail, marks the lightened and shorter-geared versions.
