The second Panamera stands on the Volkswagen Group MSB platform shared with the Bentley Continental GT, is 35 mm longer than the first on a 30 mm longer wheelbase, and can have rear-axle steering. Touch-sensitive surfaces replace the buttons, and two seven-inch displays flank a central rev counter that recalls the 356 A.

Unveiled at Geneva in March 2017, the plug-in flagship combines the Panamera Turbo's 550 PS engine with the motor of the 4 E-Hybrid. Bodies are built and assembled at Leipzig.
