Model reference specifications

Power

740 PS

Engine

the 5,980 cc twin-turbocharged 60-degree M158 V12, built by Mercedes-AMG for this car alone, with smaller turbochargers, a different intercooler layout and its own engine management to cut lag, and dry-sump lubrication that lets it sit low in the frame

Performance

740 PS (544 kW) at 5,800 rpm and 1,000 Nm from 2,250 to 4,500 rpm, 0 to 97 km/h in 2.8 seconds and about 383 km/h

Chassis

Four flaps, two at each end, move independently under a control unit fed by the anti-lock brakes and the engine management with speed, yaw rate, lateral acceleration, steering angle and throttle position, and the front ride height changes with them, so the drag coefficient varies between 0.31 and 0.37. In a corner the inside flaps rise to load that side of the car; under hard braking the rear flaps and the front suspension both go up to counter the weight shifting forward. The brakes are Brembo carbon-ceramic discs of 380 mm by 34 mm.
