Touring of Milan designed the Superleggera body, aluminium panels over a steel tube frame on a platform chassis, and the DB4 was the first Aston Martin built at Newport Pagnell. It has wishbone front suspension, rack-and-pinion steering and servo disc brakes all round.
Shown in October 1958, the DB4 ran to 1963 in five series and 1,110 cars, among them 70 convertibles. The Series III of 1961, chassis 601 to 765, is identified by tail lamps made of three small units on a chrome plate.
The available examples cover model years 1959 to 2019.
