Aston Martin and Zagato built 99 Shooting Brakes, announced in August 2017 and produced from 2018. The roof is stretched to the tail and keeps the double-bubble shape with glass inlays; every body panel is carbon fibre. A powered tailgate opens onto a two-seat cabin with a load area behind it, and the fascia is trimmed in herringbone carbon fibre with anodised bronze rotary controls.
Zagato's bond with Aston Martin goes back to the DB4 GT Zagato of 1960. The Vanquish Zagato concept appeared at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in May 2016, and the series grew to 325 cars: 99 coupés, 99 Volante, 28 Speedster and 99 Shooting Brake.
The available examples are all from the 2019 model year.
