About the Ferrari 296 Challenge

The car is built for the circuit alone and is not road legal. It carries a roll cage, a racing seat, a single central wheel nut and slick tyres, and it drops the battery and the electric motor that the 296 GTB carries on its gearbox.

Ferrari runs its own one-make championship, the Ferrari Challenge, since 1993, and the 296 Challenge took over the grids in 2024 after testing began in February 2023. The cars are sold to competitors and serviced by the factory at Maranello.
