About the Ferrari Berlinetta Boxer

A steel tube chassis with a semi-monocoque centre section, double wishbones at all four corners, bodies from Scaglietti and a shape drawn by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina. Ferrari built 929 of the 512 BB from 1976 to 1981 and 1,007 of the 512 BBi from 1981 to 1984.

Boxer is the family name for Ferrari's flat-twelve road cars, the first mid-engined twelve-cylinder the factory sold to customers. Ferrari has built its cars at Maranello since 1943 and casts its own engines on site.
