About the Ferrari 512 BB

A steel tube chassis with a semi-monocoque centre section, double wishbones at all four corners, bodies from Scaglietti and a shape drawn by Leonardo Fioravanti at Pininfarina. Ferrari built 929 of the 512 BB between 1976 and 1981, before the injected BBi took over.

Boxer is the family name for Ferrari's flat-twelve road cars, the first mid-engined twelve-cylinder the factory sold to customers. Ferrari has built its cars at Maranello since 1943 and casts its own engines on site.
