Lamborghini built 350 coupés and 250 roadsters to close the Aventador line, on the carbon-fibre monocoque of the SVJ with the softer bodywork of the S; it is the last atmospheric V12 without electrical assistance.

Lamborghini has built its cars at Sant'Agata Bolognese since 1963 and keeps two lines: the V12 flagship, from the Miura to the Revuelto, and the V10 that ran from the Gallardo to the Huracán. Since the Sián of 2019 the V12 has carried a 48-volt hybrid system.
